RURAL FOOTHILLS COUNTY

Rural Foothills County Neighbourhood Guide

Foothills County is a municipal district in southern Alberta, Canada adjacent to the south side of Calgary in Census Division No. 6. The county comprises several towns, hamlets, and villages, the largest of which is Okotoks. Despite sharing a common border with the City of Calgary, Foothills County does not form part of the Calgary census metropolitan area (CMA) as defined by Statistics Canada.

Foothills County is an attractive destination for those seeking a rural lifestyle within close proximity to a major city. The area is home to a number of recreational opportunities, including hiking, golfing, and fishing. The rugged badlands of Dinosaur Provincial Park are also located within the county.
